The story of CoverBuilder

2014

Launching in 2014 with a very simple website and one product, CoverBuilder made its debut in the UK home insurance market. As part of the Red Apple Group (established in 1993), the brand was created as the first step to offer insurance directly to UK customers. The launch product was a very simple insurance called Home Buyer’s Protection. This offered those who were in the process of buying a property somewhere to turn if the purchase fell through. often buyers lose money through wasted fees, this insurance helped to pay you back.

 

Today

Forward on four years to today and CoverBuilder is at its strongest. After relaunching its branding and product offering in 2017, we are consistently growing the number of people we’ve helped to find home insurance. Focusing on the specialist, non-standard, types of personal and property risk, thanks to our customers’ support we are building a strong reputation. We work with a panel of well-known home insurer underwriters to offer a fully online quote and buy website for specialist home insurance risks.

 

The future

There’s still plenty of work to do to achieve our goal of being a ‘go-to’ provider of specialist home insurance in the UK. We take every piece of feedback our customers provide to help us continually improve what we do to make it more beneficial for you.

CoverBuilder is focused on two main areas;

  1. Make it easier for customers to find the right cover to protect them and their property whilst understanding what is covered.
  2. Supporting customers with outstanding customer service from purchasing through to renewal.

CoverBuilder is part of the Red Apple Group (formerly Source Insurance LTD) and the group has featured in the list for the 4th year. This year we have reached our highest ranking yet with a 26th place. Ensuring we have a happy and productive workplace means you, as a customer, receive consistently high levels of service. CoverBuilder in our community

This year, we’re supporting Cath Pendleton, who is raising money for two charities, Welsh Hearts, and SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Cath, initially an ice swimmer, is now focused on swimming the channel in September 2018. CoverBuilder is backing Cath all the way to help her achieve her goal of swimming the channel and help raise lots of donations for two excellent causes.

“I have loved swimming ever since I was a young girl. I can remember telling my late Uncle Freddy that I will swim the Channel one day. In September 2016 I decided I was going to fulfill my childhood dream of swimming the English Channel and booked my slot for the 16 – 23 September 2018.”
“At the end of September 2015, I came across an advert for an open water swimming event and I have not looked back since.  I have absolutely fallen in love with ice swimming.”
